I ordered a custom-made cake for my child’s birthday, and it was the most delicious cake I’ve had in a long time. It wasn’t overloaded with sugar but was packed with rich flavors that make you want to come back for more. It was exactly what I asked for, and my child was in awe of it. The customer service was top-notch—they responded to all my requests professionally and promptly. Thank you for making my child’s birthday truly special! Jess

If you wanna be talked down to, gaslit and come to no compromise , then Cafe Pastel is the place for you. We ordered one of the smaller cakes here, valued at 60$. We were heading back in the snow storm on February 16 and were told they’d be open until 4:30. We said can we try to get the cake another day? And that was fine. We then followed up saying we may come Tuesday. Due to life, we couldn’t make it, and asked if we could potentially get a new cake. We were then told a new cake couldn’t be made, mind you, this was a cake for my girlfriend’s birthday, so that was nice. Anyways, we get to the shop Saturday (Almost a week later), and they asked if we read their email stating, “Hey, if you buy a new cake we’ll give you 15% off.” We already bought a cake and asked if we can get 15% off the one we already got. Again, no compromise. We were then told they stated to us they’d stay open until 6PM during the day of the storm, which wasn’t true. My girlfriend was upset, and felt talked down to, and was told to, “Listen hun” to which she didn’t particularly enjoy. She then left, I took the cake, and will never stepping into those doors again. I don’t know what these cakes are made of, but I guarantee the markup is astronomical enough that making a new cake wouldn’t be the end of the world, considering the size of the product. We’re incredibly disappointed, and will not be ordering from here again.

Terrible terrible customer service. They closed early on the day of the storm, which was my birthday and I had set it up to pick the cake up right before 6pm. They said latest they could stay is 4/430pm. I asked if they could make me a fresh cake after I wasn’t able to come the following few days 1 as everyone went back to work and they were closed on the holiday Monday. I won’t be able to show up and asked them if I could just have a fresh cake to pick up on Saturday. They said no, wouldn’t budge at all, and yrier to put the blame back on me. They closed early and told us day of… the worst experience I’ve ever had, didn’t get a cake for my birthday because of this and I spent $60’dollars on a 2 person cake. Will never go back and definitely do not recommend.

Really cute cafe with yummy drinks, treats and friendly staff!

It was the greatest café in Toronto among the ones I’ve visited! All the baristas were so kind and friendly. Above all, they had amazing cakes. I didn’t try any cookies, but I’d bet their desserts are delicious. The café also had a cozy interior and great music. When I visited, they were playing some Korean band music, which I really loved. The vibe was just perfect! 🥹❤️
